Educational program - Photography

As an opportunity for photographic education, the Beyond Spheres Project will offer work-shops sessions for hands-on training in fine art photography. Antique photographic proc-esses, such as Calotype (paper negative) and Salted Paper printing, will be taught includingthe philosophy of the process. Each photography shooting ession (Calotype shooting tour) will have 2 to 3 assistants.Traditional photo processing workshops will be conducted at respective local schools and museums along the route the photographic team travels.

At present the world of photography is becoming increasingly digital; the supply for materials and equipment for traditional photographic processes (silver salt image photo-graphs) has become extremely rare while those photographers aspiring to work tradition-ally are also decreasing. Based on this situation, the emphasis of the photo workshop is to preserve and continue traditional photography via instruction in large format photography,Calotype, salted paper, platinum print, and gum print. With the support of artists and people involved in photographic education, a learning opportunity for local students and art enthusiasts will be provided.
